Think All Day is a boutique graphic design and website design studio founded in 2007. We have served western regional and US national clients including fine and performing arts, food and beverage, hospitality, fashion, and home goods. Our team has personal history in the arts, and a love for work with inspiring companies. Projects, on-site project management, and in-person training have been provided in Santa Fe, Los Angeles, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington, DC, New York City, and more. We enjoy strategizing closely with each of our clients, from typography and color palettes to the best and most current technical features. We keep up-to-date with professional enrichment, with attendance at professional opportunities including Adobe workshops, AIGA‘s national design conference, Into the Woods designers’ retreat, and developers’ Unite.
Who We Are
Designing for and promoting wonderful creative people and their businesses makes us happy. We are 100% woman-owned and operated, and perform all of our design and programming in-house. Kristin likes pitching a tent, making too many lists, ice cream, puppies, and a new stamp or two on her passport. Susan has a slew of talents, including knitting, beekeeping, spelunking, and cycling (from Austin to Alaska!). When she’s not in learning the latest and greatest in software and techniques, Mia can be found crafting away on bullet journaling, DIY-ing, embroidery, and sewing for her dog accessory brand Vector Designs Co. While we now hail from a trio of western states, we each have our own warm relationship with the City Different—and the roots of our friendship and creative endeavors together began many years ago in sunny little Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Founder Kristin Carlson has worked in graphic design and website design since 2002, beginning her career in arts marketing at W Architecture and Alvin Ailey in New York City. She holds a dual BA in art history and visual arts from Columbia University, and received a Mellon grant for study in London. Here in the high desert of Santa Fe, Kristin enjoys invoking her experience in drawing and intaglio printmaking while dreaming up creative projects for clients. She sits on the Advisory Committee for Design Corps, has served as an AIGA New Mexico board member, CreateAthon team lead, Inspire Santa Fe mentor, and reviewed student portfolios and been a keynote speaker at universities throughout the state.
Graphic designer Mia Dorsey is a whiz with pen and ink and digital drawing, custom lettering, book and magazine layouts, photo manipulation, and composition of all sorts. She and Kristin first started designing together as a mentorship pair in Inspire Santa Fe’s 2015/16 program. Mia honed her skills as Design Editor for the University of Colorado Denver’s The Sentry, and is continuing her higher education with a BFA in graphic design at Portland State University, where she is on the Dean’s List. She studies in Portland, Oregon, while also creating away on Think All Day tasks—summering in Santa Fe to collaborate in-person with Kristin and our clients (lucky us!).
