Santa Fe Weaving Gallery
Santa Fe, New Mexico
We worked with Santa Fe Weaving Gallery on a custom e-commerce website design, new logo, and branding to showcase their beautiful textiles and contemporary cloth. This unique retail shop carries modern artisanal clothing, textiles, and accessories created in Europe, Japan, and the US, and has remained an important contributor to the fiber arts movement since it was founded by Victoria Rabinowe and Nancy Paap in 1976.
Our graphic designs for the gallery’s new branding package reflect the organic texture and traditional chevron pattern found throughout their woven goods in our hand-drawn mark. Advertising, business cards, and signage let the products take center stage in clean, elegant layouts. Cards and hangtags are letterpress-printed, offering a tactile dimension to simple black against bright white heavy paper—sharp against the bright colors and complex textures of clothing in the store. White signage hand-carved with a black logo reflects the same crisp gallery feel.
Integrated with our branding, we created a custom Shopify-CMS website design that gave the shop its first online retail presence. The homepage features a slideshow of intricate seasonal pieces, a feed of the staff’s favorite newest items, and upcoming events. Our product and informational page layouts seek to honor the uniqueness of one-of-a-kind handmade works. A hover-activated zoom reveals beautiful detail and magnification of the incredible stitching on each garment. We always love collaborating with creative businesses on their graphic and web design needs and contributing to the mission of supporting artisans. It’s been a treat to work alongside new owner Elise Nye Holliday, recently moved to New Mexico from Seattle, to bring her contemporary vision for the brand to life!
