San Francisco-based women’s wear designer Eileen West’s new website design allows her to sell online the same elegant, heirloom quality sleepwear and clothing she creates for retail at Macy’s, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, and other top department stores. Using the Shopify CMS platform and building a custom design to honor her company’s branding and highlight the gorgeous seasonal photography, we created a featured image collage on the homepage, introductory text area, video placement, and feed of the newest items in the shop. All of these features are quick and easy for staff to edit in-house.
The new website design gives the Eileen West staff complete control of updating their shop’s inventory, variants, shipping, and information. Detailed search and filter options allow customers to find available items by size, color, fabric, keyword, and more. A swatch feature automatically changes imagery to show the model wearing each pattern, and a zoom magnifier allows for full enjoyment of the beautiful lace and shell details and hand-painted florals.
Quick view, size guide, return policies, and carrier-calculated shipping linked to each item offer added convenience, and a site-wide promo area where staff can edit or turn on free shipping and other special offers make for a great fit. The site is fully responsive, allowing shoppers to be on the hunt using their tablets, mobile phones, and desktops alike.
