Working with photographer Sabra LaVaun’s own signature as a starting point, we created a hand-lettered logo design and coordinating branded items for her photography studio, allowing the dramatic sweep of the S and the V in her name to take center stage. First, we established the soft gray-blue color palette by working with Sabra on a simple and elegant artist portfolio website design, and choosing a color that complements the full breadth of her striking imagery. Our WordPress website design also includes an embedded Instagram feed, easy-to-update portfolios, client galleries with private logins and image favoriting, as rotating testimonials, built on the Genesis framework. Coordinating Facebook and Instagram badges were also part of the process.
Next, we brought the new logo design out of the digital realm and onto her physical marketing materials: blue-gray business cards with the logo shown in reverse to complement the website; gorgeous crystal jump drives with engraving, to pass digital image archives along to each client; and hand-lettered thank you cards with a fun twist on the soft blue color, bringing in a flowing watercolor element in a similar palette. Getting this sweet package as part of your beautiful business or family photos is certainly something special to mark the moment for years to come!
