In our graphic design work for Akumal Weddings, we wanted the bright and colorful flair of the Mexican coast to shine through in our logo and website designs, and for the overall mood of the brand to convey the joy and personality of this special business. The patterns and colors of traditional papel picado inspired our new logo design; using the depth and richness of watercolors in our illustrations, we worked to capture the richness of this Mexican coastal city along the Riviera Maya. For our new website design, it was important to feature beautiful photography of happy brides and grooms, as well as the stunning location of Half Moon Bay. We focused this custom WordPress site design around a full-width slider that changes on every page and trained the staff on making their own updates and additions to the site. It is tablet- and mobile-responsive for easy viewing across devices. We embellished with watercolor touches, a gallery grid, testimonial boxes, and a custom-designed map to present a fresh and welcoming appearance—matching the quality of service and level of attention Akumal Weddings provides to its couples. Doing a vow renewal in this amazing setting is definitely on our radar!
